If you have a 220V dryer outlet in your garage, you can use it for EV charging with a simple adapter from a trailer supply store.
Most chargers pull too much power and trip the 30A breaker, but the EV IQ charger lets you adjust the charge rate from your phone.
I just have to test it to 25-27A, and you can charge overnight easily. Lower rates may even be better for battery health.
I hope it helps someone.

That’s a solid workaround but I’d be careful relying on a dryer outlet long-term. A 30A circuit wasn’t really designed for continuous EV charging and even at 25-27A you’re pushing it pretty hard. Have you noticed any heat buildup at the outlet or breaker? A dedicated 50A Level 2 charger would be safer but if this works for you that’s a great budget-friendly option.
