I'm curious when juicing up, can we crank the heat and blast the infotainment without impacting charge speed too much? And what's the etiquette for leaving the truck while it's charging? Is that little lock button by the charge port the key to preventing unwanted unplugging? Also, is it better to pre-condition the cabin before hitting the road, or are we just draining the battery unnecessarily? Anyone got hard data on how much range is affected by pre-conditioning versus just getting in and driving? And what are the best practices for keeping things secure when you leave your EV charging?

Just set a "Departure Time" if you want to precondition before driving. It’ll warm up the car and give you a little extra range, perfect for when you need to make the battery go further.

When it comes to charging, cranking up the heat and blasting the infotainment won’t slow down the charge speed too much, but once you're hitting the road, they’ll definitely drain that battery quicker!

As for the charging etiquette, yeah, the little lock button by the charge port is your friend for keeping things secure! It prevents people from unplugging your car while you're not around. And about pre-conditioning, it really depends on the climate—if it’s freezing or super hot, pre-conditioning will save you some range and make your ride more comfortable. But if the weather’s mild, you might be fine skipping it.
