After a recent recall repair that included a battery module replacement, my F-150 Lightning has been charging much slower than usual on my Level 2 charger. It used to charge at 9 kW/h, but now it's limited to 3 kW/h.

This inconsistent charging behavior is frustrating, especially since the dealer couldn't identify the issue and claimed the truck was within specifications.

Has anyone else experienced similar charging issues with their F-150 Lightning? Any advice on how to get the truck to charge at its full capacity would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah try checking the charging settings or using a different charger.

I’ve had similar issues with my vehicle. Double-check all the connections. A loose connection can trigger overheating. If everything seems tight, you might have a faulty charger. Contact your dealer to see if it can be replaced under warranty.

In the long run, a hardwired charger is a great investment. It’s more reliable and can charge faster. Check with your local electric utility for potential rebates or low-cost options.
