I’ve been digging through the threads to find a good OBD2 scanner and app combination that works well for monitoring battery charge and health on the F-150 Lightning. I’m planning a few long road trips, around 1,000 miles each way, and would love to have more accurate insights into when I should stop to charge.

Does anyone here have a setup they’d recommend? Specifically looking for something that works seamlessly with the OS system and provides detailed battery information. Not sure if I need to try different stuff or a specific one would work.

For my road trips, I’ve been using the BlueDriver OBD2 scanner along with PlugShare for planning charging stops. BlueDriver gives you basic battery metrics and is super user-friendly. While it doesn’t dive as deep as some other tools, it’s reliable and integrates well. For trip-specific planning, PlugShare helps ensure you don’t hit unexpected dead zones. Between the two, I’ve always had a smooth ride.

For detailed battery info, try the OBDeleven app with a compatible OBD2 scanner. It works pretty well.
