I recently came across a "Tesla to J1772" charging adapter from Lectron that seems to suggest non-Tesla EVs can use Tesla Destination Chargers and Home Chargers. I was curious if anyone has tried this and if it actually works as advertised.

On a related note, I’ve noticed that Ford Pass sometimes labels chargers as "Station Not Compatible," but upon closer inspection, I’ve seen non-Tesla EVs like VW and Kia successfully using them. If that’s the case, I’m wondering if my Lightning could use the same stations too, as long as I have the right adapter. Anyone have experience with this?

You can use a Tesla to J1772 adapter with your home charger. Companies like Lectron, A2Z, and TeslaTap sell them. If you have a long-range car, get one that can handle 80 amps.

I’ll look into a high-amp adapter for future-proofing. Do you have a preference between Lectron, A2Z, or TeslaTap based on durability or ease of use?
