Difficulties on charging cars at superchargers

Hello, everyone! Am I alone in this or do you guys also find it difficult to find a charging spot when using a Supercharger location? I wish the configurations of Tesla and Lightning vehicles were different. I mean, it is almost impossible to charge considering Tesla vehicles charge from the...

Frustration with Lariat 511A’s charging loop

My friend has had his Lariat 511A for almost two years now, with over 28k miles on it. He recently started a job with a 4-hour daily commute, so he needs his truck charged to 100% by the time he leaves but doesn’t want it sitting at full charge all night. He tried using a preferred charging...

New Ford service on the website

That’s awesome! It’s great that Ford is making it easier to get information about their EVs. Being able to text them directly is a nice touch. Thanks for sharing by the way.

    Cooling Down Before Plugging In?

Heard it's a good idea to wait a couple of hours (like 2 or more) after shutting down your EV before plugging it in to charge. Supposedly, it helps the battery cool down and keeps it from degrading too fast. Is this true, esp when it’s blazing hot outside? I’ve been poking around the app and...

Is it safe to install a Charge Station Pro on NEMA?

You can do that, buuuuuuuut, DON'T DO IT, unless you want your EV charger to meltdown.

    Cooling Down Before Plugging In?

Actually, there's no need to worry too much about charging your F-150 Lightning right after using it. The vehicle has a built-in battery cooling and heating system that helps manage temperatures, so you can plug it in without risking overheating. If you're curious about the best practices for...

Can I charge my Lightning with a generator?

I hear you! I was just considering the generator as a backup plan, but it does sound like a whole lot with fuel and the size. It is definitely something to think about. I might need to look into other options for off-grid charging.

Can I charge my Lightning with a generator?

I know right. If there's an electrical post available, that would definitely be a more peaceful option for L1 charging. I just want to make sure I’m covered in case there’s no access, but I’ll keep that in mind for sure.

New Ford service on the website

Oh wow, really? I haven't come across this yet! Super cool to see Ford stepping up with this text service, esp since GM's EV Live thing seems to have totally fizzled out. Anyways, thanks for this info man!

Can I View KW Draw from My F150 Lightning Pro Charger?

It has been like this from the beginning. Unfortunately, Ford is doing nothing about it. It focuses more on the charging status and the energy going into the vehicle rather than the charger's output. I am sorry I can't see any resolve for this one..

    Extension Cable

That’s a clever fix! 😂 Gotta love when you install a charger and then realize your truck’s too big for the garage. Glad the extension cable is doing its thing! Just keep an eye on it, don’t want any surprises out there!
