Just got my NACS to CCS adapter. The adapter feels well-made and durable, with a nice finish that looks like it’ll hold up over time. It even came with a compact travel case that fits snugly in the driver’s side door pocket, right between the water bottle holders.

Planning to test it out later today and will update with how it performs. Couldn’t have arrived at a better time since I’m heading out on a 300-mile road trip with a trailer this week. Fingers crossed for smooth charging on the road!

Here's the deal with charging with that new NACS

  • A little bit of silicone lube on the inside where the plug goes can help it slide in easier.
  • Park on flat ground right in front of the Tesla charger. Push the plug in good and hard. It's supposed to be tight, so don't worry about breaking anything.
  • Lock the switch after you push it in. If you can pull it out easily, it's not connected right. Don't even try to charge if it's loose.
