Recently, my lightning just wouldn’t charge and kept flashing this pesky amber light. The dealer was quick to blame the charger, but I figured out the real culprit was the controlled charging I set up in the Ford Pass app.

As a quick fix, I ditched the controlled charging setup, and now my EV is back to charging like a champ!

But seriously, how do I actually get the controlled charging to work without all the mess?

Maybe you will have to make some settings changes. If not, delete and reinstall the up. Give it a fresh start.

Make sure your charging schedule isn't too restrictive. If it overlaps with other settings, it might prevent the car from charging when you need it. Also, if your car or app isn't connected to Wi-Fi properly, the charging settings might not sync correctly.
