Hey quick question about DC fast charging. I've been keeping my truck in accessory mode to run the AC while charging, but I'm a bit worried about draining the 12V battery.

Is it safe to leave the truck on while charging? Or should I stick to accessory mode?

You can actually leave the truck running while charging! There’s literally no downside to it. The big battery bank under your seats is way tougher and more powerful than you’d think, so it can handle being on nonstop with zero problems.

I leave my truck fully on while DC fast charging all the time, especially during hot summer days to keep the cabin cool. The charging system is smart enough to manage power distribution, so you won’t drain the 12V. Just remember to monitor your charging speed, running AC might reduce it slightly but shouldn’t be a major concern.

It's generally safer to keep the truck in accessory mode while DC fast charging to avoid draining the 12V battery.
