Just urious, I'm charging my Lightning with a fast charger. Does it always charge at the maximum speed, or does it slow down sometimes?

The charger usually stays at 19 kW, but it slows down as the battery gets full.

For some weird reason, my charger’s only putting out 16 kW, even though it’s set to 80 amps and everything’s hooked up correctly. It’s fast enough for me, though, so I haven’t really felt like troubleshooting. I’ve double-checked the dip switch and app settings, and everything seems on point.

The Lightning may slow down during charging, especially when it reaches higher charge levels to protect the battery's health.

It stays at 19 unless you charge to 100%, then it gradually steps down as it gets closer to full.
